Romanin

This 14 hectare (35 acre) parcel in the municipality of Saint Rémy de Provence, close to the old Romanin Chapel, is set between scrubland and green oak trees.

It hosts three of the varieties found in the AOP des Baux de Provence area (Aglandau, Salonenque and Grossane) and is situated on the north-facing slopes of Les Alpilles. The trees were planted in 1998, and we have watched them grow.

They produce a stable crop each year, and are easy to care for because they are single trunked. This is a very handsome grove: to the south, the steep north slopes of Les Alpilles; and northward views of Mont Ventoux.
